A Cautionary Tale: My Unwelcoming Rolex Experience at Shreve & Co. 🚨
My recent visit to Shreve & Co. was a truly terrible experience that I feel compelled to share as a cautionary tale for other potential customers. I unfortunately didn't feel like I got a warm welcome or great experience and was super disappointed, especially since they had amazing reviews. I walked in just to browse and explore the possibility of buying a new Rolex. However, I was greeted by a relatively older lady who seemed to just want to get me out of the door and didn't really want to entertain any of my questions, making it obvious she wanted me out the door very quickly. When I asked about the newer ceramic GMT Master II’s, she told me that you need a very good relationship with the store to be considered for a purchase like that. I completely understand market conditions, but I wish she'd been a little nicer about it. This unwelcoming reception is why I'm sharing my feedback and reaching out to customer service.
Customer: I'm really upset about my visit to your store. I came in hoping for a pleasant experience, but I was met with such an unwelcoming attitude. CS Rep: I'm so sorry to hear that. That's definitely not the impression we want our customers to leave with. Could you tell me more about what happened? Customer: I was just trying to browse and learn about buying a Rolex, specifically the GMT Master II, but the sales associate seemed to just want to rush me out. She made it very clear that I'd need a "very good relationship" to even be considered, and frankly, she wasn't nice about it. CS Rep: I understand completely how frustrating that must have been. It sounds like you felt dismissed, and for that, I sincerely apologize. We pride ourselves on offering a welcoming environment to everyone. Customer: Exactly. I walked in with my own Rolex, hoping that would show I wasn't just casually wasting time, but it didn't seem to make a difference. I live so close by and really hoped this could be my new go-to AD. CS Rep: I assure you, we want to build those relationships. I'd like to investigate this further and ensure this doesn't happen again. Would you be open to me arranging a personalized visit for you with a different associate at your convenience?
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap and to encourage more consistent, positive customer interactions.
